15-Minute Phone Consult

I offer a 15 minute phone consultation for anyone considering services with me. I understand how important it is to have a good fit between therapist and client. In fact, I view it as the most important part of therapy. Scheduling a phone consult gives you a chance to hear my voice, interact with me, and ask any questions you may have prior to scheduling an appointment.

EMDR

I utilize Eye-Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR) to treat and relieve PTSD, acute stress, and anxiety symptoms resulting from traumatic and other life experiences. EMDR therapy can produce elevated emotional and somatic reactions during and after treatment. A typical client experiences a 60-90% reduction in stress symptoms as a result of completed treatment. Contact me to see if EMDR is right for you.

Faith Deconstruction Counseling

Spirituality is an important part of life for some clients. It can be where we derive purpose and meaning, where we find hope, and where we form our worldview. However, when values begin to shift or we experience harm in religious settings, it can leave us feeling lost and wondering where to turn. I want to validate your experiences and help you find ways to move forward that feel authentic to your values.

Training For Groups

As a certified QPR (Question, Persuade, Respond) Instructor, I am trained to provide training to groups (non-profits, educators, faith communities, etc) about suicide prevention and response. These trainings are for anyone interested in learning more about how to recognize a crisis and the warning signs that someone may be contemplating suicide.

Is Teletherapy Really Effective?

If you’re new to therapy or used to receiving in-person counseling services, the effectiveness of teletherapy can be a concern. However, many clients say that they find teletherapy to be just as effective as face-to-face therapy, and they appreciate that they can participate in therapy from the comfort of their own home. While face-to-face therapy involves coordinating travel, work/school schedules, childcare, etc. around appointment times, teletherapy has the ability to take much of the stress out of attending therapy appointments.

Still wondering if teletherapy is a good fit for you? Let’s chat!

I believe mental healthcare should be accessible, and therapy shouldn’t break the bank.

At this time, I am in network with BlueCross BlueShield and Aetna insurances.

If you have a different insurance provider and would like to seek insurance reimbursement, I can provide you with a superbill at the end of each month that you can submit to your insurance company. Before booking an appointment, I suggest calling the number on the back of your insurance card, inquiring about your ‘out of network’ therapy benefits, and learning about how to submit an out of network reimbursement.
